Maintenance classes

Our maintenance classes are designed to build skills and confidence so you can go away and fix your bike independently.
 

Our Classes

Beginners Maintenance Courses

2 Hours

 

This is an introductory course that will teach you basics about your bike and how to maintain it. Learn how to conduct safety checks before you ride.  
 

This course includes:

-Safety Checks (before you ride, & detailed inspection)

-Maintaining your bike (washing, general upkeep)

-Oiling and cleaning

-Rear Wheel removal (preparation for a puncture)*

 

*does not include hub gears and e-bikes

Intermediate Maintenance - Brakes 

2 Hours

 

This course is designed for anyone wanting to learn more about brakes, how to adjust them, and general maintenance.

 

We will provide bikes for this course as we cannot use personal bikes for brake courses.
 

This course includes:

-Understanding braking systems

-Brake components

-Minor adjustments

-Brake pad inspection & replacement (Disc and Rim brakes)

-Troubleshooting techniques

 

Intermediate Maintenance - Gears

2 Hours

 

This course is designed for anyone wanting to learn more about their gears, how to adjust them, and what to look for regarding cassettes and chain wear.
 

This course includes:

-Understanding gear systems

-Gear components

-Minor adjustments

-Replacing cables

-Indexing gears

-Assessing wear on cassettes and chains

-Replacing chains
 

1:1 Maintenance Courses

Email us to enquire about our 1 on 1 course for £95 if you want help with specific tasks. These sessions are meant to be tailored to your needs. The mechanic is there to support you for 2 hours. Or, if you want to book as a couple/pair its £55/each

Commercial maintenance classes

We also offer maintenance classes for organisations. You can use our workshop space or we can come to you. The classes are for between one and six people and offer a great team building opportunity or a chance to upskill your workforce. Please get in touch with us to enquire by clicking the button below.

Terms and conditions

We will accommodate requests to transfer to another course where possible, if an alternative and suitable course exists.

​

In the event that a transfer is not possible, the following cancellation charges will apply:

​

  • For cancellations less than two weeks but more than one week before the course delivery date, 25% of the fee will be charged

  • For cancellations one week or less but more than 48 hours before the course delivery date, 50% of the fee will be charged

  • For cancellations 48 hours or less before the course delivery date, the full course fee will be charged  

On occasion, unforeseen circumstances or an insufficient number of attendees may require us to cancel a course. In such circumstances you will be given as much notice as possible and either a free transfer to another course or a full refund of fees paid.
