Due to Covid-19, we have had to put our Velotech on hold. Please keep an eye on this webpage and our social media for future updates.

The Velotech Awards maintenance courses are accredited courses recognised by the Bicycle Association

The successful participants receive the Gold, Silver or Bronze Award, a recognised professional mechanics qualification.

Velotech Bronze

Velotech Bronze is the basic qualification and covers puncture repair, bike safety checks, and record keeping.

It also goes over minor non-tooling adjustments needed to deliver cycle training sessions.

Duration: 7 hours
Cost: £150

Velotech Silver

Silver is popular for ride leaders, though you do need Silver to move onto Velotech Gold.

You will learn puncture repair, safety checks, record keeping and adjusting all areas of a bike.

Duration: 2 days
Cost: £300

Places are limited to four participants per course.

Velotech Gold

Velotech Gold gives you all the knowledge needed to be a bike mechanics and covers everything from fixing a puncture to a complete rebuild of a bike.

The course is very hands-on. Participants are shown how to perform each task, then lead through the procedure, and finally expected to carry out the task unaided to demonstrate that they understand it.

Duration: four days
Cost: £600

Places are limited to four participants per course.

If courses are not full, we reserve the right to offer an alternative week or a refund.
